Finitribe fue una banda de música industrial electrónica de baile, formada en Edimburgo, Escocia en 1984 compuesta por Chris Connelly (vocalista hasta 1988), David Miller (vocalista y guitarra), Philip Pinsky (bajo y voces), McGlynn Simon (batería hasta 1988), McGregor Thomas (guitarra y vocalista hasta 1988) y John Vick (teclados).
En 1984 publicaron su primer maxi-single (12") Curling And Stretching seguido en 1985 de Peel Sessions y Let The Tribe Grow en 1986. A partir de 1987 abandonan la banda Simon McGlynn, Thomas McGregor y Chris Connelly este ultimo para seguir con su carrera en solitario, quedándose con tres miembros John Vick, David Miller y Philip Pinsky.
Finitribe siguió adelante con tres componentes publicando entre otros los maxi-single Make it Internal (1987), De Testimony (1988), Forevergreen (1992), así como los álbum Noise, Lust & Fun (1988), Grossing 10K (1989), An Unexpected Groovy Treat (1992), Sheigra (1995) y Sleazy Listening (1988). Este ultimo álbum ya sin John Vick y con Katy Morrison como nuevo vocalista.
El tema del video "De Testimony (Collapsing Edit)" pertenece al Maxi-single Let The Tribe Grow lanzado en octubre de 1986.
